PEREGRINO: Ofelia Interrumpida

Ofelia Interrumpida performed by Julieta Dentone, Elena Bylund and Roberto Silva is the continuation of the work Ofelia created by Rebeca Martìn and Elena Bylund in 2008. The work was presented in The 14th Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean Skopje 2009, Macedonia.

Roberto Silva

Painter, draftsman and etcher. He studied drawing and painting at the School of Visual Arts in Santurce Puerto Rico. With 17 years, Rafael Trelles, one of the most representative painters of the Puerto Rican contemporary art, took him as his apprentice. He decided to drop out in the Department of Fine Arts at the University of Puerto Rico when the Latin American Chair of Fine Arts and Music gave him a scholarship to study engraving at the Academy of Fine Arts San Alejandro in Havana, Cuba. After finishing the degree in Cuba he continues with his pictorial work at the Canary Islands. Then he came to Barcelona to finish his series, Colorblind. His most recent series is “Ofelia”, witch he created in 2008 within the group “PEREGRINO” in Barcelona. He continues working with figurative art building images for the purpose of further developing his personal and artistic world.

Elena Bylund

She was born in Norway where her refuge always has been the theatre and the dance. In 1999 she startes " Buskerud Folkehoyskole " in Darbu(N) continuing with "Nordick Black Theater theatre school". Here she workes with teachers from around the world, including 5 rhythms, Ya Cov Darling Khan, Tim Dalton and the theater Beivash in the discipline and improvisation of the actor, Ellen Jørgesen and Øyvind Johansen in butoh dance and body expression. She continues her personal search of a breathing expression within different workshops in Norway, England, Sweden and Denmark to atlast come to Barcelona where she finds Laboratorio- Escuela de Expresión Dramatica in 2004. "Fyrstkkhjertet", "Hamlet" and "Compañeras de espera", direction Jessica Walker. She graduates as a teacher of Laboratorio- Escuela de Expresión Corporal Dramática in 2008. She is the founder of the group "PEREGRINO". With whom she creates "Ofelia", which was presented at theater festivals in Norway and Barcelona in 2008, and "Ofelia interrumpida" that had its premiere at BJCEM in Skopje, September 2009. She is currently developing the project "Laboratorio de Dibujo".

Nathatlia López Santacruz

Dancer, actress, yoga teacher, designer and fashion stylist. She is trained as a classical dancer since she was 7 years old. At 17 she continues her research also within other dance areas such as contemporary, jazz and spanish dance styles. Simultaneously finishes her career in Fashion, Style and Design. At the age of 25 she goes to Miami, London and Barcelona to broaden her knowledge and experience in these areas. In Germany she works several years at Levi's as a fashion stylist, in parades, events and editorials. In Barcelona, she starts Laboratorio Escuela de Expresión Corporal Dramática in 2004 where she investigates the experimental theatre and butoh dance. During these years she has created solos works, duo works and worked collectively to perform at festivals, theaters and events. She is currently participating the teachers training at Laboratorio Escuela de Expresión Corporal Dramática. She is also a part of Peregrino where we investigate dance, experimental theatre and fine arts.
